Epic buys Chair

Epic games, the creators of such hits as Unreal Tournament and Gears of War have purchased "Chair Entertainment Group", if you're wondering who they are (I know I was) they are the group behind such projects as Empire and Undertow.

Mark Rein had this to say about the acquisition:

"Chair's stylised approach to creating games is further enhanced by its ability to stretch our technology in new directions that not only help in creating amazing gaming experiences but also demonstrate the power and versatility of the Unreal Engine,"

CEG was formed in 2005, its a 15 man team which includes some of the members of Core Design (Tomb Raider). Their biggest hit to date is Undertow, the Xbox Live Arcade title which has become very popular amongst gamers. So far no news has been released on what the teams next project will be, however what is known is that they will continue to work on new IP's which will feature the Unreal Engine.
