Valve VP Open to Acquisition

Valve VP Doug Lombard has revealed that the company would be open to the prospect of an acquisition.
In an interview with Gamasutra, he claimed that Valve was "happy to have that conversation."

"By the same token, the company's doing pretty well, and we're really happy with what we're doing. So we'll see. I mean, anything is possible."
A likely candidate to acquire the pioneering PC developer would be Left 4 Dead publisher Electronic Arts. Lombardi described the relationship between the companies as "really good".
"EA was very progressive about saying, 'We understand who you guys are," he said. "'We understand what Steam is. We don't want Steam to go away.' Well, they might want Steam to go away, but they're not asking us to make Steam go away"
