Getaway ps3 and 8 days both canned

Sony has today confirmed that The Getaway ps3 and 8 days have both been cancelled.

"It has been agreed that production of both 8 Days and The Getaway will cease immediately due to the redistribution of resources and budget," said Sony in an official statement.

"This decision was made following an internal review of all games and it was deemed that with the incredibly strong list of exclusive first party titles coming up both this year and in the near future, resource should be reallocated to enhance those projects"

Whilst it isnt all that surprising that they have been canned, what with virtually no info coming out for them in over 2 years, its still sure to upset gamers who were looking forward to the games (like myself).

"WWS has a reputation for innovative and entertaining games, with titles such as LittleBigPlanet, SingStar,Buzz, EyeToy and Eye of Judgement, and will continue to push the boundaries on all PlayStation platforms," concludes Sony.

Sony confirmed that both games have been completely canned so neither will be made ever, just incase you were hoping they had just been suspended.
