Cod 4 pc map packs are go

Patch 1.6 has now been released for the pc, along with it comes the Variety Map pack, which in case you haven't already heard is completely free for pc gamers.

The Pack includes four maps; Creek, Chinatown, Killhouse and Broadcast. The last one, in case you hadn't guessed, is based on the wicked single-player level in the television studio. The rest of the changes in the PC patch are a bit mysterious for now, although it's confirmed that 1.6 adds "Hardcore and oldschool server browser filters" and a fix for Denial of Service.

In a slightly related note, Infinity Ward announced today that the Xbox 360 version of the map pack alone has been downloaded over 1.5 million times.
