Widescreen DS In The Works ?

A recent advertisement for Disgea DS has caused quite a stir amoungst gamers, the image shown above clearly shows what would appear to be a widescreen Nintendo DS.

Whilst this could well be a photoshop gaff, a widescreen would be the next logical step for the DS, which has already had quite a drastic re-style and weigh drop with the DS-lite update.

Nintendo have already stepped in to rubbish the rumours, claiming that the rumours of a widescreen DS are:

"purely rumour and speculation".

Could we possibly see a see a re-design unveiled at E3 this year, guess we can only wait and see on that. Keep tuned for updates.
