Owners of Call of duty 4 on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will be treated to some more multi player maps, courtesy of Activision this Spring.

Neither Activision or Infinity Ward were willing to divulge any more apart from saying that:

"the upcoming downloadable content will thrust gamers into a hot zone of added combat across a variety of intense multiplayer locales" and speaking of "added gameplay variety".

Could new gameplay variety mean the introduction of vehicles, a feature that the game currently doesn't offer at all on-line. There has not been any word on whether these maps will be free to download or whether they will feature on the PC version.
