Following the news last week that Microsoft Xbox division is finally profitable again, Sony have jumped on the band wagon posting figures from their last financial quarter, showing that the Sony Games division is now making a profit.
Sony Games division is now in the plus figures following a drop in the Playstation 3 manufacturing process cost and the recent sales boost credited largely to the £75.00 price drop last year.
Despite the sales increase, Sony have officially dropped their first year Sales prediction from 11 Million units to 9.5 Million by the end of March 2008.
On the contrary, reuters have reported that the PSP sales forecast has been raised from 10 Million to 13 Million units. After a shaky start it would appear that things are finally starting to look up for sony and Playstation.
